Robert M. Kraus, age 94, of Emerald Grove passed away on Tuesday morning, April 17, 2018 at his home. He was born in Whitewater, WI on February 19, 1924, the son of Arthur and Bertha (Krebs) Kraus. He grew up in the Whitewater area and married Betty A. McCulloch on June 28, 1947. They moved to the Emerald Grove area in 1954 where they farmed for many years. Robert was a member of Emerald Grove Congregational United Church of Christ. (UCC)

Surviving Robert are five children, Dr. Bruce (Pamela) Kraus of Columbus, WI, Laura (Michael) Rusch of Clinton, Connie (Ronald) Benisch of Fort Atkinson, Gary (Bj) Kraus of Janesville, Victoria (Joseph) Marchese of Lake Wood IL, 13 grandchildren, Rachel Innis, Nathan Kraus, Aaron Kraus, Nicole Huisheere, Jamie Karns, Michael Kraus, Timothy Kraus, Alan Murphy, Thomas Dillon, Jake Dillon, Nathan Rauen, Alexander Marchese, Nicholas Marchese, nine great-children, Juliana and Laurel Innis, Hayes Kraus, Jackson Karns, Emma and Mason Kraus, Aiden, Jacob and Austin Kraus, one sister, Mary Jones, one brother, Dick Kraus, numerous nieces and nephews. Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Kraus on August 25, 2010. He is also predeceased by his parents, one brother, Elmer Kraus and one sister, Dorothy Helgeson.

Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday, April 23, 2018 at Henke-Clarson Funeral Home, 1010 N. Wright Road, Janesville. Pastor Michael Ligman will officiate. Private burial will be in the Emerald Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 22^nd and from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Monday, April 23^rd at Henke-Clarson Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Emerald Grove Congregational UCC.
